This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Shaghelni ("Shaghelni," "we," "us," or "our") collects, how we use that information, under what circumstances we share it, and the choices available to you. This Policy applies to job-seeking workers who register with Shaghelni ("Candidates") and to representatives of client companies who use the Shaghelni client portal ("Company Users"), across our website, online channels, and any other service where this Policy is linked.

1. Who We Are

Shaghelni (Registration No. 0111023893) is a recruitment platform based in Damascus, Syria, that connects workers with companies and factories seeking to hire them. Shaghelni is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this Policy. 2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information from Candidates (Job-Seeking Workers)

When you register with Shaghelni as a Candidate — whether through our online forms, or through an on-the-ground registration event — we collect the personal information you provide, including:

• Identity and contact details, such as your full name, phone number, and date of birth
• Work-related information, such as your work experience, skills, preferred job functions and industries, and availability
• Any other information you choose to share with us as part of the standard hiring/screening template used during registration and, where applicable, during a screening call with our team

We do not require a password to register — where an OTP or verification step is used, we only process the phone number needed to deliver it.

2.2 Information from Company Users

When a client company is onboarded to Shaghelni, or when a Company User is added to the client portal, we collect:

• Full name, work email address, and phone number
• Company affiliation and role (e.g. Admin or Member)
• Login activity related to the passwordless (OTP-based) authentication used to access the client portal

2.3 Technical and Usage Information

When you use our website, chatbot, or client portal, we may automatically collect limited technical information about the device and browser you use to access the Service (such as IP address and general usage logs), for security and service-improvement purposes. Shaghelni does not collect real-time location data.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal information where doing so is necessary to provide you with the Service you requested, where you have given us your consent, or where we are otherwise legally required to do so. Our processing is carried out in a manner consistent with Legislative Decree No. 17 of 2012 on network communications and combating cybercrime, and any guidance issued by the National Network Services Authority or other competent Syrian authorities.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect to:

• Operate the Shaghelni matching service — including creating and maintaining Candidate and Company User records
• Allow client companies to review, approve, or reject Candidate profiles from the point those profiles are shared with them onward in the hiring pipeline
• Communicate with Candidates and Company Users about their registration, applications, interviews, or account access
• Maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of our Services
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use Candidate or Company User information for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes, and we do not sell personal information.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

• With the client company tied to a specific job: once a Candidate's profile is fit for a specific job, the relevant client company and its authorized Company Users can view that profile in order to make hiring decisions.
• For legal reasons: we may disclose information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with an applicable law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Shaghelni, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: if Shaghelni is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a successor policy.

We do not share, sell, rent, or lease Candidate or Company User personal information to third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not have third-party marketing partners with access to your data.

6. Data Retention

We do not keep personal information for longer than we believe is necessary. In deciding how long to retain a given piece of information, we consider:

• The purpose it was collected for and whether that purpose still applies
• Any contractual obligations we have to a Candidate or Client Company
• Any minimum retention period required under applicable Syrian law or regulatory guidance
• Whether the information may be needed in connection with a dispute or legal claim

7. Minimum Age Requirement

Shaghelni's Services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your relationship with Shaghelni, you may:

• Ask us to review, correct, or update the personal information we hold about you
• Ask about what information we hold about you and how it is used
• Request that your Candidate record be removed from active consideration (please note that, for record-keeping purposes, some information may be retained rather than deleted — for example, to prevent duplicate registrations)
• For Company Users: request that your portal access be revoked, or that your account be deactivated, by contacting your company's Admin or Shaghelni directly

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with our response to a request, or believe our handling of your personal information does not comply with applicable Syrian law, you may raise it with us at admin@shaghelni.co. You may also raise your concern with the National Network Services Authority or other competent Syrian regulatory body.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy when we do. Continued use of our Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
